PSEi-3383-3422-3380-3420 ... the market manages to close flat (+0.9%) ... but individual stocks are clearly suffering ... broken support: COL, COAT, MBT, MEG .. consolidation patterns that broke to the downside: COL, GLO, COAT .. faded and stalled upside breakouts: DGTL and OV .. ugliest looking chart so far: still AC... gold closes @ 880.3 this could be a catalyst for PX keep an eye out ... 2 stocks in an uptrend: MWC and ICT .. my overall sentiment remains bearish due to a downtrending market .. good luck !

Gapped down on relatively light volume .. Still a setup candidate for a potential 0.60 upside move .. Keep an eye for a reversal day soon .. If that happens, and the following day exhibits a penetrating close above the previous day's high, that's a buy trigger, set stop below the reversal day's low ..

I have been trying out blogspot.com since late december 2007 as an alternative host site to my blog which is currently being hosted by bravejournal .. i have been publishing the same posts since then and so far i've been impressed with blogspot in terms of ease of use, rapid upload and download speed, and flexibility in terms of page layout .. I will eventually migrate my blogging to blogspot but will continue to post in both sites until end of january 2008 so as not to confuse the readers ..

Due to a downtrending market, we can reasonably expect higher failure rates for setups. We can try to mitigate this increased risk with tighter stops but this is still no guarantee. Trading the above setups in this environment requires strict discipline, willingness to take a loss in case the setup fails, and the capability to execute rapidly. Remember to size your trades in line with your risk tolerance.

Steady as she goes ... There's nothing much to say about this chart .. very clear price action .. no conflicting signals .. The positive divergence is just an observation, its simply a warning to be alert if an upturn materializes .. Other than that, a downtrend is valid until proven otherwise .. The index is moving in a well defined price channel .. Its hard to get excited over this kind of market .. especially ours where we can only make money on the long side .. Makes me seriously consider trading the US market .. It may come sooner than i think .. Cheers !
